'An Environmentally Friendly Paddle Boat Platform for Waste Collection and River Monitoring'
This study aims to design a robotic system suitable for underwater exploration in river environments, adopting a paddle-based propulsion mechanism. Unlike conventional propeller-driven systems, the paddle propulsion method offers advantages such as reduced risk of entanglement with surface debris or aquatic vegetation and safe operation even in shallow water. By mimicking slow rowing motions, it minimizes acoustic noise and physical disturbance to aquatic life, enabling a more environmentally friendly approach. Additionally, in terms of maintenance, the system has a structurally simpler design compared to propellers and allows for easier removal of entangled materials, thereby contributing to improved operational efficiency.
