'Smart Planter checking plant state'
Recently, more and more people are growing various plants indoors due to the growing
interest in home gardening. However, due to the nature of busy modern people, it is often
difficult to check the condition of plants carefully every day. Recently, as more and more
people want to grow plants that need a lot of care indoors, IoT pots were developed to help
them.
However, the smart pot currently on sale has the disadvantage of not having enough
function by measuring only one factor necessary for growing plants, such as soil humidity
and illumination, or it is difficult for ordinary users to access it because there are too many
factors that are managed at a level used by professional growers. In addition, it is difficult for
users to know specific sensor measurements because it often conveys only vaguely with text
or facial expressions by comparing the good or bad condition of plants to emotions. As a
result, we decided to design a next-generation IoT smart pot that allows users to monitor the
condition of plants anywhere by sending mobile messages, while also allowing users to make
up for deficiencies through external circuits such as LEDs.
