RED-CLAWED FIDDLER CRAB
Red-clawed fiddler crab , the scientific name being Uca arcuata, travels in a helical path yet facing its home. However, the crab returns to its home in a straight, linear way when it faces danger. We started my research on the crab's special home-navigation ability to know whether it is related with path integral and image matching.

We estimated the accurate length ratio of the crab's legs to grasp the motion of the crab and its locomotion.
The crab robot was then built based on the data we gathered.
